Ambient Lighting Reducing Heat
Panels from reclaimed wood pallets form louvered window coverings. When tilted down, they stop direct heat gain from the sun. When tilted up, they act as light scoops to reflect light into the living area.
An enterprising solution may be to wire in solar panel strips into those louvered window coverings... Using these solar powered strips along the louvers might add additional solar gathering surfaces.
