SAN DIEGO -- March 9, 2004 -- Snapbridge Software today announced Snapbridge XStudio 2.5, the first true drag-and-drop development environment for building information processing solutions based on eXtensible Markup Language (XML) technologies. The new and improved development tool allows drag and drop development to choreograph the integration and publication of data and content with no coding or data schema required. XStudio 2.5 can be downloaded at http://www.snapbridge.com/downloads.
"Based on patent-pending FDX technology, our two core products, XStudio and FDX Information Server, shift the paradigm for real-time XML information processing," said Benjamin Chen, Chairman and CTO, Snapbridge Software. "Through XStudio, we provide an environment where developers can connect data and content faster than ever before without the restrictions of a static XML environment."
No hand coding or schema required
Point directly to live XML data regardless of schemas
Output requirements can be changed in real-time
Leading XML-to-HTML mapping technology
Freedom to work with databases, flat files and Web Services
"This is no ordinary XSLT editor," said Sean Moreland, Senior Systems Analyst at Guidant Corporation. "In XStudio 2.5 developers have a true point-and-click tool that creates the necessary transformations automatically. Users can visually map between data sources in real-time, without the hindrances of custom code or schemas. This tool represents a major step for data and content processing."
Snapbridge XStudio is a powerful and flexible development environment for building information processing solutions based on open XML technologies, fully supporting the creation of XSLT to choreograph the federation and publication of data and content. It is unique in its ability to create XSL based on visually mapping source data to target outputs.
In addition to making XSLT simple to users who have no XSL experience, XStudio is a fully-featured tool that speeds development by any XSL expert.
Stylesheets are generated by example using the drag and drop interface. Users can iteratively import source and target instances of data, and then graphically define transformations between them. No need for DTDs or hand-coding of XSL. XStudio also incorporates XPath visualization, syntax help, and integrated browser preview.
Generate XML runtime federations for getting external data, choreographing transformations, federations and publication. XML runtime federations can be executed against an instance of Snapbridge FDX Information Server, for integrating large amounts of heterogeneous data and content in real-time.
XStudio 2.5 retail price is $199 USD per seat and can be downloaded at http://www.snapbridge.com/downloads.
In addition to availability on a stand-alone basis, XStudio is bundled with each version of FDX Information Server to provide developers with all the tools they need to rapidly build, test, debug, and deploy information integration solutions built with XStudio 2.5 for deployment to a full production environment.
Snapbridge FDX Information Server is available in 3 editions, scaled appropriately to meet organizational needs:
-- designed for deployment by large organizations, high-volume publishers and online service providers
-- designed for medium-sized organizations and workgroup deployments
-- provides developers with all the tools they need to rapidly build-test-debug-deploy information integration solutions
Both XStudio 2.5 and FDX Information Server are based on Snapbridge FDX, a patent-pending technology capable of federating large amounts of heterogeneous kinds of data in real-time. Snapbridge FDX federates multiple data sources such as data from relational databases, flat files, mainframe data, Web services, digital images from content repositories, streaming feeds, etc., to create composite objects that can be viewed, or updated as part of a transaction.
